These four cards were picked randomly from a counter with 20 different publicity cards. Each shows "good" art direction. However, in a very competitive environment, they illustrate how photographed faces stand out more than "line" art. An informal study of ads compared Starch scores (a standard advertising industry guide) for "face" art to "line" art. The "face" art got up to 37% greater readership than the alternative. |
